A new independent index for everything Abu Dhabi is now live — here's what we're building, and why we're starting small.
Abu Dhabi's tourism footprint has grown enormously — a capital with two entertainment islands, a growing museum district and a genuinely huge range of hotels — but a lot of what's written about it online is thin, repetitive, or written without much care. Totally Abu Dhabi is an attempt to build something more useful: a filed, organised index rather than a blog, covering the emirate department by department.
We've launched with a focused set of pages covering the essentials — planning logistics, the main islands and districts, headline attractions, a hotel directory, culture and food — rather than trying to cover everything on day one. Each department will keep growing from here.
New pages are added at least weekly, sometimes more. Near-term priorities include expanding the hotel directory, adding more Yas Island and Saadiyat Island detail, and beginning translation of the core pages into additional languages as the English-language foundation grows.
